Diovan is a brand of valsartan. It is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and to improve survival after a recent heart attack. This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. It is available in 80mg and 160mg tablets.
